Meet the Owner

Thank you for clicking on the site. My name is Danielle, and I am the owner of Exactly Chic. I am a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T SU) with a BA in Political Science and a MS in Community Agency Counseling. I’ve worked 14 years in Higher Education, and I love every minute of it. The best part of what I do, is working with students. I enjoy being able to guide them in the right direction, but most importantly watching them obtain and exceed their goals. 

You may be wondering, what does she know about fashion. I love fashion, I love to shop. I like finding cute items and putting them together. I like to ensure that I don’t look like every female in the room. I am the friend that gets text messages asking me what do I think of an item or outfit. I’ve always been into fashion from a young age. I loved going back to school shopping because I was able to get the items I wanted. I remember going from department store to department and then the Guess store looking for my outfits. Now, I shop mostly online and take trips to certain department stores.

Exactly Chic was created after numerous attempts of looking for certain clothing items. It began to be frustrating finding clothes that fit my criteria (cute, not everyone would have, sizes that would fit, etc.). Even when I did find something I thought was cute, it would be sold out, or I couldn’t fit the item. After several conversations, a close friend told me to just open my own boutique. To be honest, I wasn’t on board. Being a business owner was never in my thoughts, let alone a clothing boutique. As time passed, I agreed to do so because once again, I was having a hard time finding items.

Creating Exactly Chic has been a whirlwind over the past 10 months. Looking for clothing, accessories and doing things I’ve never done has shown me that I can do anything I put my mind to. Whatever it is you are thinking about, do it. You don’t know what you are capable of until you pull the trigger. It will be worth!
